AKUNA MATATA The association was established in October 2007 by the will of a group of friends to take action on an experience in Africa where it became a reality on behalf of us really far. What for us is a normal, everyday life for them is necessary for survival. The African eyes, look at you differently, smile at you in surprising ways, so that you move all the time. The Association, however, did not want to ask yourself the limits and decided to respond to the needs and constraints of a reality to us closer cooperation and giving membership to other organizations like us who have the same spirit of solidarity. What for us was the normal everyday life for them was the need for survival. Our members work at nursery schools and in health, so the aims of the Association will expand especially in these areas, and in parts of Africa and in the local community. The Association's purpose is the promotion of public awareness campaigns, representatives of institutions and governments (including through the publication and circulation of periodicals and information) in order to obtain concrete action to help people in need, with effects both immediate relief and with prospects for long-term average.
SENEGAL PROJECT The project in Senegal was born of an old friendship with two Senegalese brothers and Mala Lanzani, well integrated into the world of work in Italy for about twenty years during which time we have made known the reality of their country. In July 2008 a delegation of Hakuna Matata is playing for Senegal to begin to create a project that existed only in our minds, to build an outpatient pediatric and gynecologic Mbour about 90 km south of Dakar. We arrive in Dakar Badgj known brother of our friends who made our stay comfortable and above all useful for our project because our friends had decided that we would have donated the land on which to build our practice. In the days following the presence of Badgj was essential to complete all the paperwork for the award of the land. All purchased concreteness. Once back in Italy we got to work with great enthusiasm to create initiatives for fund raising.
